Counselling with James

What it feels like and what you can expect

Counselling offers you space to slow things down and talk honestly about what is going on for you. Sessions are confidential and led by what you bring. There is no pressure to perform, explain things neatly, or know where to start. We work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important in the room.

It's your space

Counselling is not me fixing you. It is steady time each week for you to talk, to make sense of what is going on, and to notice what shifts. Some weeks it will feel heavy. Some weeks lighter. All of it is welcome.

Stuff you might bring

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. It might be anxiety that will not switch off, low mood that makes everything feel heavy, grief that is hard to carry, or relationships that leave you feeling stuck or unseen. You do not need a label or the right words. You just need to show up.

How it works

Sessions are 50 minutes.

They can be weekly or fortnightly.

In Sissinghurst or online.

We will check in after 6 to 12 sessions to see what is working.

You choose how long to continue.

Frequently asked questions

Ready to start talking?

You don’t have to wait until it’s a crisis. If something feels heavy, stuck, or confusing, we can sit with it together. The first step is a short chat to see if this feels right for you.
